On August 15, 2009 we had our first annual picnic at the new Barbara S. and Walter F. Brown Memorial Park.

It was a beautiful 70 degrees with the sun shinning and the Siletz River gently flowing through the park.

While there, we went for a walk in the forest and we knew that this would be a place of wonder when Lincoln County completes the paths and educational center.

I am so happy that Lincoln County agreed to honor Barbara and my wishes with no hunting, no logging, and to remain forever a nature park.
